I'll take any version I can get for free. I wouldn't even be upset if the book was approached more tactfully and still no money was donated to charity, because at least then I could say, "Well she did this the right way and she deserves this money for her family after what she went through." But to put it out in this way AND to cry and say she "needs" her fans to buy the book, and not even mention any resources for getting out of abusive relationships LET ALONE donating to those resources? No thanks. I'm still incredibly sorry for what happened to her but I can't support a book that talks about something so serious in such a lighthearted manner. I cared about Brittani a lot during her engagement/pregnancy/separation, but lost a lot of respect when she started acting the way she has. I definitely would've purchased it had this been the case. The cover photo and the title, the marketing campaign, and her clickbait teasing have all been what's made me say "Nope!" but I think at one point I really was invested in finding out what happened, and was really worried about her. I honestly agree with you - there are a lot of things about the presentation of this story that make me feel really gross and icky, and make me not want to buy this, but honestly I think if she'd approached it differently this is a story I would have been pretty interested in reading, even if I still wouldn't have expected good things from the writing, per se. It sounds like it's going to be awful but ugh I'm so impatient.
